If you have installed Gorelo RMM Agent in your asset without selecting a client, then your asset is ready to be adopted by a client. Once the asset is adopted, policies can be applied.
Awaiting Adoption View
All assets installed without a client are visible in the "Awaiting Adoption" view (a universal view).
In this state, the policies and tags sections in the device details are disabled.
Adopting an Asset
Assets can be adopted by Clients through one of the following methods:
Adopt a Single Asset from Asset List
Click on the green "Adopt" button next to the desired asset.
In the popup, select the Client and the Location.
Click the "Save" button.
Adopt Assets in Bulk
From the Asset List, hover over the green status circle and select the desired assets.
From the top bulk action buttons, choose the "Change Client/Location" option.
In the popup, select the Client and the Location.
Click the "Save" button.
Adopt an Asset from Asset Detail
Go to the Asset Detail screen.
From the three-dot menu on the right side, choose the "Move" option.
In the popup, select the Client and the Location.
Click the "Save" button.
Post-Adoption
Once the client and location are set, the assets are removed from the "Awaiting Adoption" view. The Tags and Policy sections in the asset details are then enabled. This activity is recorded in the asset detail timeline.
