Gorelo automatically adopts unadopted assets whose IP matches an ICMP type Uptime IP. If the IPs match, the asset is assigned the same client and location as the Uptime.
Enable Automatic Asset Adoption for new Uptime
To enable the automatic asset adoption feature in a new Uptime:
Go to the Add Uptime screen.
Choose the Type ICMP.
Turn ON the Adopt Client Assets toggle.
Provide other details and click Add button.
Enable Automatic Asset Adoption for new Uptime
To enable the automatic asset adoption feature in an existing Uptime:
Go to the Uptime List.
Click on the ICMP type Uptime for which you want to enable this feature.
On the top left, from the three dotted menu, choose Edit.
Turn ON the Adopt Client Assets toggle.
Click the Update button.
Post Enabling the Automatic Asset Adoption feature
Once this feature us enabled, our system will:
Check all unadopted assets. If the IP of any unadopted asset matches the IP of this Uptime, the asset will be automatically adopted and assigned the same client and location as the Uptime.
Automatically adopt any new asset installed without a client if the asset has the same IP as the Uptime, assigning it the same client and location as the Uptime.
