Scripts in Gorelo streamline operations by automating routine tasks, customising configurations, and deploying software across multiple devices simultaneously. Additionally, it facilitates troubleshooting and diagnostics to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Gorelo offers diverse features in scripts as listed below.

1. Create and manage Scripts.

2. Star a script.

Starred scripts are represented by a white star adjacent to them. This star can easily help you to distinguish the important scripts among all. It makes it easier to identify the priority scripts at once.

To star a script, follow the below mentioned steps,

1. Navigate to Scripts under RMM section and select the desired script you want to star.

2. Click on the 3-dot menu and select 'Star' option.

3. The star icon will appear against it and script will be successfully starred.

4. To unstar a script, click 3 dot icon and select 'Unstar.' The script will successfully be unstarred.

5. To view all the starred scripts, click on the 'Starred' panel on the script screen.

6. To go back to full list, click on the 'Starred' again.

3. Nested Scripts

To create a nested script, follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Select desired script you want to create a nested into and click the 3-dot icon and select 'Create Nested Script.'

2. A new script window will open which will be internally connected to the parent script.

3. Input the desired data and save. The script will be added as nested to the first one.

4. Move Script

You can organize your scripts by moving any main script as a nested script within another script, or vice versa, by making any nested script the main script or placing it within any other main script.

To move a script, follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Select desired script you want to move and click the 3-dot icon and select 'Move.'

2. A dialog box will open with a list of scripts, select the desired script.

3. A confirmation pop up will open, click 'Yes' and your script will be moved successfully.

Note:

  • The user can also move important scripts anywhere to the top and bottom just by drag and drop.

5. Run Script

You can run a script directly from the editor or 3-dot menu. To run a script from 3-dot menu, follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Select desired script you want to run and click the 3-dot icon and select 'Run.'

2. A dialog box will open, with two asset tag drop down fields. Select the desired tag and click the 'Arrow' button to display the respective assets associated with that tag.

Note:

  • The 'Must match all tags filter works with respect to the AND property, if even one tag not found in device, then that device is dropped and not shown in list.

  • The 'Must match one of these tags filter works with respect to the OR property, if even one tag is found in device, then that device is showed.

3. Once all the devices are shown in the empty area you can also exclude any device by clicking the 'minus' icon.

Note:

  • The excluded and included counter will increment respectively.

  • The excluded devices will have a red border.

  • The script will only be run on the included devices.

4. Once all the devices are included, click on the 'run' button to execute script.

5. The process will start, and you will be redirected to the result script showing Awaiting Results.

6. Once the scripts are run successfully, the status will turn to green showing success. You can view the result by clicking the 'View Result' button.

7. A dialog box will open that shows respective results.

6. View Script History

Gorelo provides script tracking history so that you can have a check in balance as to which script was generated at what time and yielded which results. To view a script history, follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Select desired script and click the 3-dot icon and select "View History".

2. A dialog box will show the history of the script ran which include the technician that ran it, its timestamp and repeat cycle.

2. You can view the schedule date and time by clicking on the view button.

7. Delete Scripts

You can delete unwanted scripts easily in the following manner:

1. Select desired script you want to delete and click the 3-dot icon and select 'delete.'

2. Click 'yes', in the confirmation pop up and your desired script will be deleted.
