Having a Document module in Gorelo is great importance for efficient information sharing. It acts as a central hub for knowledge, making it easy for team members to access and reference important documents.

You can make documents in Gorelo at two different levels:

  • MSP: Documents at this level can be seen by all MSP users.

  • Client: Documents at this level are only visible to users in the Client's group.

1. Navigate to Documents from left navigation

2. Click on "Create a document"

3. Observe that the breadcrumb shows the name of your MSP. Add a title and write your content in the body

4. Click Save button on top right corner.

5. Once you've saved your document, you'll see it pop up in the document list. Also, take a look at the breadcrumb at the top – it'll show your MSP.

Client level Document

To check out, access, or create a document at the Client level, you'll want to apply your focus to that specific client. Follow the steps below to focus on the client and start crafting your document at their level

1. From the Document module, click on the client icon to apply client focus.

2. Pick the client you want to add a document for. Once you do that, you'll be able to see all the documents that were made for the chosen client.

3. Click on "Create a document".

4. Notice that the breadcrumb at the top now displays the client's name you selected. Add a title and write your content in the body.

5. Click the Save button.

6. Once your document is saved, you'll see it in the document list. Also, the breadcrumb at the top shows the name of the client for whom you created the document.

Formatting tools

The editor in the Document module got a bunch of formatting tools. You can check them out by simply typing "/", and a dropdown will pop up with all sorts of options to make your text look great.

Below are some options to format your document

a. Headings

Headings are like the blueprint for your document. They give your text structure and a clear layout. You can pick from different heading levels to organize your document just the way you like it.

b. Text Styling

To make your text look just the way you want it, you can choose these styling options: Quotes, Bold, Italic, Code, List, and Divider

c. Table

You can also insert tables in your document. It starts as a standard 4x4 table, but you can make it your own. Just click three times in a cell, and a little menu pops up with styling choices. Click on the table option, and you can tweak your columns, rows, and cells however you like

d. Images

There are three ways of adding images in a document

  • Type "/" and choose option Image

  • Copy an image from another source, and then paste it directly into your document

  • Drag the image file and drop it right into your document.

e. Attachements

There are two ways of adding images in a document

  • Type "/" and choose option Attachments

  • Drag the file(s) and drop it right into your document.

f. Image Carousel

Image carousel lets you showcase a series of images in a single space like a slide show.

Nested Documents

Nested documents give a formal and structured layout. You can easily make nested documents for both MSP and Client levels. Just click on the three dots menu either in the list or in the view pane.

Edit Documents

If you want to make changes to the document, then find the document in the list and click on it to open its view pane. Now click Edit button. This will open your document in an editable form.

Star Document

You can mark your documents as favorites by giving them a little star. When you do that, a star icon will show up with those special documents. To do so, choose "Star" option from the three dot menu from the list or from the reading pane.

You can easily find all your starred documents in the "Starred and Recent" section.

Copy Document link

Copy a link to a document and share it with your colleagues. Just pick the "Copy Link" option from the three-dot menu in the list view or reading the document.

Duplicate a Document

You can make a copy of your document. The duplicated document will be placed right alongside the original one at the same level. You need to pick the "Duplicate" option from the three-dot menu.

Move Documents

The "Move" feature does exactly what it sounds like: it lets you shift a document from one spot to another. To move a document, simply click on the three-dot menu next to the document's name and choose option "Move". This will bring up a pop-up window showing you all the available paths for documents in both the MSP and Clients level. When you move main document, all of its nested documents are moved along.

Archive a Document

When you archive a document, it's like giving it a cozy spot in the "Archived" section, and it disappears from your regular list. When you archive a main document, all its nested documents get archived also as individual documents.

Restore a Document

Archived documents are available to restore from Archived section. Click on "Archived" section at the bottom

Click "Restore" button. It comes back to regular list at the top level either in MSP or Clients wherever it belonged The great thing is, restoring it will take it out of the archived section and put it back where it belonged.

Document Versions

We provide you a feature that lets you easily bring back an older version of your document. Just click on the three dots menu, select "Restore Previous Version", and a list of your document's versions will pop up. Then, click on the version you want to restore.
