Step 1: Create the custom client field

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Clients -> Custom Fields

  2. Add custom field with the following details

    1. Name: Cove Customer UID

    2. Variable: coveCustomerUID

Step 2: Create the installer file

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Assets-> Files

  2. Add file with the following details

    1. File Path: Upload a Cove executable with a generic name like CoveInstaller.exe

    2. Variable: coveInstaller

Step 3: Create the script

  1. Navigate to Scripts

  2. Create a script with the following details:

    1. Name: 💾Install-CoveBackup

    2. Content: copy from here

Step 4: Deploy the script via a policy

  1. Navigate to Policies

  2. Edit an existing policy that covers the assets you want to install Cove Backup for

  3. Add the '💾Install-CoveBackup' script and set to repeat daily at your preferred time

  4. Save and Distribute the policy
