How to Run a Script
Description
Scripting allows users to run diagnosis and updates on a target computer remotely. A script can be run once at the time of your choice (immediate or scheduled for a later date and time), or multiple times at fixed intervals – also set by you.
Step-1: Navigate
After logging into your Gorelo account, go the “Assets” menu and click on “Scripts” to open the SCRIPTS window.
Step-2: Select the Script
In the SCRIPTS window, you can find all the scripts you have available.
If you want to run a script that is not available in the library yet, you can quickly add it by clicking the “+ Add Script” button on the top right corner of the window.
Step-3: Run or Schedule the Script
Once you have identified the script you want to run, click on the play button on the script’s option bar.
On the pop-up script form, enter the appropriate Client, their Location and their Device that you want to run the script on.
Select one of the three ways of executing the script:
- Run immediately – if the device is ACTIVE (powered on) and you want to run the script immediately
- Run when the target computer is active – if the device is INACTIVE (powered off) and you want the script to execute automatically when the device is turned on
- Schedule it – if you want the script to run automatically at regular intervals or on a specific date and time in the future
Click RUN.
